About Attorney Hannah Salter
Hi, I’m Hannah.

I am a personal injury attorney with over a decade of experience representing injured individuals. Most people who know me would tell you the same thing—I work harder than anyone they know. That work ethic is not something I developed overnight; it is something that was instilled in me from a very young age.
I was raised by parents who emphasized the value of hard work. I always knew I wanted to help people, even before I knew what that would look like. While working for a judge in high school, he encouraged me to pursue law school. Once I made that decision, I completed my undergraduate degree in three years and then went directly to law school.
After graduation, I began my legal career representing insurance companies at a large firm. That experience was invaluable. It gave me insight into how insurance companies evaluate claims, how they defend cases, and where they look for weaknesses.
But it also showed me something else.
I saw how often injured people were treated like numbers instead of individuals. I saw cases where the details were overlooked, and where the outcome could have been different with more attention, more effort, and more care.
I realized quickly that my strengths—my attention to detail, high sensitivity, and ability to connect with people—were better suited to representing individuals, not corporations. That realization changed the course of my career.
Why Salter Law

I built my practice around one core principle: every case deserves focused, intentional attention.
I keep my caseload small so that I can dedicate the time and energy each case truly requires. I do not believe in volume-based representation. I believe in knowing my cases thoroughly and high value presentation.
Insurance adjusters review hundreds of claims. If your case looks like every other file, it will be treated that way. I incorporate media, visuals, and strategic presentation tools to ensure my clients’ stories are clearly understood and stand out. But a strong presentation starts long before that.
It starts with a thorough investigation.
I pursue the details others often miss—through subpoenas, private investigators, and targeted discovery. When critical information is withheld, I do not accept that as the end of the road. I file the necessary motions and seek court intervention when needed to obtain the evidence my clients deserve.
I also believe in the power of collaboration. I assist other attorneys in their complex cases to help build the strongest case possible, and I also bring in other attorneys to collaborate on my clients’ cases when I feel there is a need. This collaboration comes at no additional cost to my clients, because I believe access to the right team should never be a barrier to a successful outcome.
In recognition of this approach, I was invited to present to members of the Louisiana State Bar Association on strategies to maximize case value.
Why Personal Injury Law

There are many personal injury attorneys in Louisiana, and you will likely see advertisements everywhere you turn. Choosing the right attorney is an important decision—and one I encourage people not to rush.
Talk to a few lawyers. See who answers the phone. See who calls you back. Pay attention to how you feel when you speak with them.
Because your personal injury case is not just a file—it is your life.
I chose personal injury law because it allows me to advocate for people during some of the most difficult times in their lives. It allows me to take something complex and overwhelming and help make it understandable. It allows me to stand between my clients and companies whose goal is often to minimize what those clients have been through.
Most importantly, it allows me to make a wrong right.
What It’s Like to Work With Me

When you hire me, you work with me.
You will have direct access to me. I return calls. I answer questions. I make sure you understand what is happening in your case and why.
I do not believe clients should be left in the dark or feel like they are chasing their own attorney for answers.
My role is not just to handle your case—it is to guide you through the process with clarity and consistency.
Outside the Office
When I am not practicing law, I value time spent at home with my daughter, my husband, and our dog, Alibi. Some of my favorite moments are the simplest ones—working in the garden, taking photographs, and being out and about in nature.
Those moments matter to me because they are often the very things my clients are trying to get back to after an injury—their routines, their peace, and their ability to enjoy everyday life.
A Final Note
If you are here, maybe something has gone wrong in your life and you’re wondering whether you need an attorney. Most people don’t want to hire an attorney or be a person involved in a lawsuit. The truth is, we live in a messy world and lawsuits are part of our modern society.
You only have one life and one body, and if it’s been injured, you need to ensure it is fixed so you can be the best person you can be for yourself and those in your life who may rely on you. You may be dealing with uncertainty, medical treatment, missed work, or questions you do not yet have answers to. You do not have to navigate that alone.
If I take your case, it is because I believe in it—and because I am prepared to put in the work necessary to pursue the best possible outcome for you. Contact Salter Law today for your free legal consultation, and let’s talk one-on-one about your personal injury case.
